Who I've Been Diggin' Lately

Brett Dennen.  Adorable, chubby, red head with this great voice and cheerful and soulful songs that demand that I dance around my apartment in that very instance.  He's a Bay area kiddo, and has written several songs about the area (including the song titled San Francisco) which are fun to have in my head as I go through my day.

Here's a good one from him called Make You Crazy:

Conan O'Brien.  Now the whole family has liked him for quite some time, back to the days of the Masturbating Bear and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog (I do own the best of Triumph DVD).  I honestly hadn't seen him since he'd gotten the Tonight Show mostly because I only watch the late night shows when I'm home in Oregon.  I, of course, heard about the big hullabaloo over the Tonight Show time slot and host this past month.  I thought it was pretty upstanding of him to stick to the classic format of the Tonight Show and insist that it not be moved from the time slot it has always occupied.  He wasn't holding out for his own benefit, he was trying to do whatever he could to maintain the integrity of the Tonight Show.  Then I watched his last taping and saw his farewell speech.  So. Classy.  I listened intently to what he said about criticism and kindness and truly heard his message and took it to heart.  It's one thing to see his comedic talent and another completely to see him express his kindness and thankfulness to NBC and his fans.  It was inspiring to see an entertainer with so much integrity and class.       Not the last we've seen of that red head.

And now I'm going to take a bath for the first time in who knows how many years because I'm feeling sick; my right tear duct is acting wacky, red and swollen; and I got a bath fizzy for Christmas from Chris.  Thank goodness I don't have class until 11 tomorrow, I'll hopefully be able to recover from the ickiness and be ready for a very busy week next week.
